The Children's Ministry at Kirkholt Community Church is very much at the heart of the church vision, Changing a Generation. Through schools work and church based activities, children are being taught that God loves them and that deciding to follow Jesus is the very best way to lead a full and successful life.

KidSpace runs every Friday and now has a membership scheme in place. There are 60 places available and application packs are available on Fridays if there are places (a waiting list will be in operation if there no places are left). During the evening the children are given a Bible message after which they can play games or do craft activities. Rewards and prizes are given for good behaviour. Click on the links to read the welcome letter and KidSpace/School agreement and our latest letter to parents. Or to download a membership form click here.

On Wednesdays, during term time, Key Stage 2 girls can come and do homework with staff and volunteers from Kirkholt Community Church on hand to give guidance. Toast and hot chocolate are also part of the service!

On Sundays, following a time of worship the children go into Sunday School for their own age-related Bible teaching and activities. Pre-school children are looked after in our crèche where they too have their own Bible story and activities.

The schools work involves story times, RE lessons and taking assemblies in two of our local schools, Sandbrook Community Primary School and St Mary's CE School.

Recently the church has started to sponsor a young boy who has shown great potential in gymnastics - he is taken weekly to Rochdale Olympic Gymnastics Club and is put through his paces!

If you would like Rachel to help with training or advise on how to set up/run a Childrens Ministry including schools work please see the contact page for contact details.
